After moving to new house my treadmill stopped working, I called Boost Gym Service and Igor came the next day to repair it. He did everything super fast and professionally, explained how I can do maintenance by myself and gave useful tips. The price was fair. Thank you so much, will definitely use the service again. Highly recommend in Palisades Park!

Arthur came and looked at my Treadmill found the issue, and said it needed maintenance, which I knew it did, I asked if he could do it, his office called me back with a total price. Arthur did the maintenance and showed me what he did, the Machine looked like new, he was very pleasant, and would certainly reach out to him again.

Arthur was fantastic. He arrived and let us know the problems we had with the treadmill and showed me each part that needed repair. In the end, we decided not to repair our treadmill, but it was a good experience working with this company.

Teterboro Airport traffic rattles the windows on half the split-levels near Route 46, and those same 1960s-era South Hackensack homes were never designed for a Schwinn IC4 spinning at 80 RPM in a back bedroom. Drive belt tension shifts when garage-converted spaces drop below 50°F in January. Call us before a loose resistance knob turns into a cracked flywheel housing.

Most residential streets in zip code 07606 run through a mix of postwar ranches and 1970s split-levels where spare bedrooms double as fitness rooms. Ceiling heights in those lower-level spaces average 7 feet — tight for a full-size bike with handlebars at max height. Humidity from the Hackensack River corridor creeps into unventilated rooms along Anderson Street and surrounding blocks, accelerating corrosion on magnetic resistance units and bottom bracket bearings faster than you'd expect.

Common Spin Bike Issues in South Hackensack

Drive Belt Slipping on Cold Garage Floor Setups

Unheated garages along the Route 46 corridor drop into the 30s from December through February. At those temperatures, the polyurethane drive belt on a Schwinn IC4 or Echelon EX-5 stiffens and loses grip on the flywheel hub. You'll hear a rhythmic skipping sound around cadence 70+. Belt replacement runs 20-30 minutes once we're on site — tensioner bracket adjustment included.

Magnetic Resistance Unit Stops Responding Mid-Ride

Echelon and Keiser M3i bikes use a magnetic eddy-current brake controlled by a handlebar knob or digital display. The internal magnet carriage seizes when fine metal dust from brake wear packs into the slide rail — common after 18+ months of daily use. Cleaning and relubing the carriage rail fixes 70% of these cases. Actuator cable replacement handles the rest.

Seat Post Clamp Won't Lock — Seat Drops During Ride

NordicTrack S22i and similar studio-style bikes use a quick-release seat post clamp with a plastic cam lever. That lever cracks under repeated tightening, especially on bikes stored in rooms with temperature swings. A cracked cam will feel 'tight' but release under load. New clamp assembly is a 10-minute swap — don't ride it broken, the drop can torque the post threads.
