After moving to new house my treadmill stopped working, I called Boost Gym Service and Igor came the next day to repair it. He did everything super fast and professionally, explained how I can do maintenance by myself and gave useful tips. The price was fair. Thank you so much, will definitely use the service again. Highly recommend in Palisades Park!

Arthur came and looked at my Treadmill found the issue, and said it needed maintenance, which I knew it did, I asked if he could do it, his office called me back with a total price. Arthur did the maintenance and showed me what he did, the Machine looked like new, he was very pleasant, and would certainly reach out to him again.

Arthur was fantastic. He arrived and let us know the problems we had with the treadmill and showed me each part that needed repair. In the end, we decided not to repair our treadmill, but it was a good experience working with this company.

Arthur was super professional and friendly; was immediately able to pinpoint the issue and solution. Would definitely recommend!!

Eastside apartments and the dense residential blocks around the 07502 zip code pack a lot of these machines into small bedrooms and converted living rooms. Schwinn IC4 drive belts and ProForm flywheels take a beating when the unit sits three feet from a radiator in a pre-war building with no airflow. That combination of heat and humidity accelerates wear on internal components faster than most manufacturers' maintenance guides assume.

Paterson's housing stock is heavily multi-family — row houses and brick tenements from the 1910s–1940s line the blocks near Eastside Park and Hamilton Avenue. Zip codes 07501 and 07503 see this equipment wedged into tight corners with concrete floors, poor ventilation, and inconsistent leveling. Settled floors in older buildings throw flywheels slightly off-axis over time, which accelerates both belt wear and bearing damage. Not a problem unique to Paterson, but the age of the housing stock makes it worse here.

Common Spin Bike Issues in Paterson

Drive Belt Slipping on Schwinn and Sunny Health Models

Schwinn IC series and Sunny Health SF-B1002 units run on a poly-v drive belt that glazes and stretches in humid conditions. Ground-floor apartments near the Great Falls district are the worst for this — moisture collects, the belt loses grip, and the flywheel stutters under any real load. Proper fix means replacing the belt and resetting tension on the idler pulley, not just tightening what's already worn.

Resistance Mechanism Dead or Jumping Levels

Echelon EX-5 and ProForm Studio units use a magnetic brake assembly that drifts out of calibration when the machine sits on an uneven surface. Older Paterson apartments with settled floors are common culprits. The felt brake pad wears unevenly, the resistance cable stretches, and the magnet bracket shifts position. Result: resistance either stops responding or skips several levels between adjustments.

Seat Post Clamp Stripping and Pedal Clip Failure

Marcy and Sunny Health models get the seat height adjusted constantly in households with multiple users. The aluminum seat post clamp threads strip after a few hundred adjustments — the seat rocks side to side under load. Separately, SPD-compatible pedal clips on Schwinn IC units crack or lose spring tension, making clip-in unreliable. Both are safety issues, not just annoyances.

Frequently Asked Questions

How fast can you get to Paterson for service?

Most Paterson calls get a same-day or next-morning visit. The 07501, 07502, and 07503 areas are straightforward to reach, and street parking near most residential buildings is manageable on weekdays. Schedule online to pick a window, or call to check same-day availability.

Do you service Echelon and ProForm equipment?

Yes — Echelon EX-5, ProForm Studio, and Schwinn IC series are the machines that come up most often in Paterson. Common jobs include magnetic brake calibration, flywheel bearing repacking, and drive belt swaps. Marcy and Sunny Health models are covered too.

What does a visit cost, and can you come the same day?

Diagnostic fee is flat and applies toward the repair if you proceed. Most belt and resistance jobs land between $85 and $150 depending on parts. Same-day availability exists most weekdays in Paterson — book online to see current openings, or call to get on the schedule for today.
