After moving to new house my treadmill stopped working, I called Boost Gym Service and Igor came the next day to repair it. He did everything super fast and professionally, explained how I can do maintenance by myself and gave useful tips. The price was fair. Thank you so much, will definitely use the service again. Highly recommend in Palisades Park!

Arthur came and looked at my Treadmill found the issue, and said it needed maintenance, which I knew it did, I asked if he could do it, his office called me back with a total price. Arthur did the maintenance and showed me what he did, the Machine looked like new, he was very pleasant, and would certainly reach out to him again.

Arthur was fantastic. He arrived and let us know the problems we had with the treadmill and showed me each part that needed repair. In the end, we decided not to repair our treadmill, but it was a good experience working with this company.

Route 17 cuts through Paramus like a commercial spine, but behind the malls and big-box centers sit quiet residential streets in Arcola where Peloton Bike+ units log hundreds of miles a year in finished basements. Flywheel noise starts subtle — a faint click at resistance level 10. By the time it's grinding through every sprint, the magnetic resistance unit has already worn the brake pad unevenly. That's when 07652 homeowners start searching for someone who actually knows the hardware.

Most homes in Arcola and along Forest Avenue were built in the 1960s and 1970s — split-levels and ranches where basements became home gyms long before the pandemic made it standard. Below-grade spaces in 07652 run humid from April through September. Technogym Ride and NordicTrack S22i consoles don't tolerate that well. Add flywheel vibration on a concrete slab and you get accelerated bearing wear that a climate-controlled condo building in downtown Paramus simply wouldn't see.

Common Stationary Bike Issues in Paramus

Flywheel Bearing Failure in Arcola Basement Home Gyms

Peloton Bike+ and Technogym units in below-grade basements pick up moisture through the flywheel housing vents over time. The sealed bearing cartridge corrodes, causing that metallic grinding sound at high resistance. Replacing the flywheel bearing assembly — spec 6902-2RS on most Peloton frames — takes about 45 minutes once you have the right press and puller. Not a DIY job.

Resistance Cable Binding on NordicTrack S22i and Echelon EX-5s

The resistance knob on NordicTrack S22i bikes connects to a magnetic brake caliper via a tension cable. Humidity causes the cable housing to swell and the caliper guide rail to bind — you dial to level 12 and feel level 8. The magnetic resistance unit itself is usually fine. Nine times out of ten the fix is a new cable and a cleaned guide rail, not a full brake replacement.

Console Power Board Failure Near the Route 4 Commercial Grid

Homes in 07652 and 07653 near the Route 4 corridor see occasional voltage spikes from heavy commercial draw on the local grid. Peloton's touchscreen console uses a dedicated power board that fries before the main motor does. A blown capacitor on that board kills the display entirely — the bike rides fine mechanically but you lose all metrics and streaming until the board is swapped.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you repair Peloton, Technogym, and Echelon bikes in Paramus?

Yes — Peloton Bike and Bike+, Technogym Ride, Echelon EX-5s, NordicTrack S22i are the four we see most in Paramus homes. Common repairs: pedal crank bearing replacement, drive belt tension adjustment, seat post clamp re-torque, and console board swaps. Parts stocked for all four.
