After moving to new house my treadmill stopped working, I called Boost Gym Service and Igor came the next day to repair it. He did everything super fast and professionally, explained how I can do maintenance by myself and gave useful tips. The price was fair. Thank you so much, will definitely use the service again. Highly recommend in Palisades Park!

Arthur came and looked at my Treadmill found the issue, and said it needed maintenance, which I knew it did, I asked if he could do it, his office called me back with a total price. Arthur did the maintenance and showed me what he did, the Machine looked like new, he was very pleasant, and would certainly reach out to him again.

Arthur was fantastic. He arrived and let us know the problems we had with the treadmill and showed me each part that needed repair. In the end, we decided not to repair our treadmill, but it was a good experience working with this company.

Bergen County's busiest stretch of Route 46 cuts right past Lodi, but the borough itself is mostly tight residential blocks — two-families, post-war colonials, the occasional cape cod where the only place a treadmill fits is the basement. Basements in 07644 stay humid from March through October. A NordicTrack T Series running on a moisture-damaged motor control board will start slipping and surging within two seasons. Boost Gym handles that repair, usually the same day you call.

Most of Lodi's housing was built between 1940 and 1965. Semi-detached homes near Veterans Memorial Park, two-families on narrow lots off Garibaldi Avenue — these older builds often have 100-amp panels with 15-amp basement circuits that were never meant to handle a 3.5 CHP treadmill motor. The humidity problem is real too. Unfinished concrete basements in zip code 07644 pull moisture all summer, and that goes straight into the electronics sitting on your walking deck.

Common Treadmill Issues in Lodi

Belt Slipping on Decks Warped by Basement Moisture

Humidity swells treadmill decks over time. The walking belt loses proper tension, starts slipping under load, and the drive motor runs hotter to compensate. NordicTrack and Sole machines are common in Lodi homes, and both suffer this in unfinished basements. Replacing the belt alone doesn't fix it — the deck needs lubrication or replacement too, or the new belt fails within months.

Motor Overheating on Older Electrical Circuits

A ProForm Pro 2000 pulling 15 amps on a circuit that's also running a dehumidifier will overheat the drive motor by mid-run. The motor control board burns first — it's the most heat-sensitive component in the drive system. In Lodi's older homes on Washington Place and nearby blocks, this is one of the most common reasons treadmills stop mid-workout and throw error codes.

Console Dead or Frozen After Power Fluctuation

iFIT-connected machines like NordicTrack Commercial 1750s are sensitive to voltage dips. The console board loses its firmware sync, the display goes dark, and the whole machine looks dead. Usually it's the power supply module or the console board itself — not the motor, not the frame. Diagnosing it takes about 20 minutes on-site. Fix typically runs under $200 for parts.
