After moving to new house my treadmill stopped working, I called Boost Gym Service and Igor came the next day to repair it. He did everything super fast and professionally, explained how I can do maintenance by myself and gave useful tips. The price was fair. Thank you so much, will definitely use the service again. Highly recommend in Palisades Park!

Arthur came and looked at my Treadmill found the issue, and said it needed maintenance, which I knew it did, I asked if he could do it, his office called me back with a total price. Arthur did the maintenance and showed me what he did, the Machine looked like new, he was very pleasant, and would certainly reach out to him again.

Arthur was fantastic. He arrived and let us know the problems we had with the treadmill and showed me each part that needed repair. In the end, we decided not to repair our treadmill, but it was a good experience working with this company.

Duke Farms draws people to Hillsborough for the same reason they build home gyms here — space and quality matter. Across 08844, that means Peloton Bike+ units in dedicated gym rooms, Technogym Ride consoles in converted outbuildings, and NordicTrack bikes tucked into finished basements under sprawling colonials. Flywheel grinding or a dead resistance knob doesn't fix itself, and hauling a 150-lb bike to a shop isn't how anyone here wants to spend a Saturday.

Hillsborough lots run large. Properties off South Branch Road and around the Route 206 corridor include 1980s-2000s colonials with finished basements that double as home gyms — and the humidity those spaces collect in July does real damage to electronic resistance systems. Zip code 08844 also covers newer luxury builds near Duke Farms where dedicated fitness rooms are standard, but the equipment still wears out. On-site repair is the only practical option when the bike weighs more than the technician.

Common Stationary Bike Issues in Hillsborough Township

Resistance Magnet Corrosion in Basement Gyms

Finished basements along the South Branch corridor trap humidity all summer. Peloton Bike+ magnetic resistance assemblies corrode in that environment — the brake knob either sticks at full resistance or loses calibration mid-ride. We clean the magnet track, recalibrate the resistance sensor, or swap the assembly entirely. Caught early, it's a $75 fix. Ignored six months, the whole unit needs the resistance module replaced.

Flywheel Bearing Failure on High-Mileage NordicTrack Units

NordicTrack Commercial S22i bikes in multi-person households rack up serious hours. The flywheel bearing starts producing a low grinding noise that most people dismiss as normal wear — it's not. Left alone, the bearing seizes and damages the flywheel hub. Replacing a bearing costs about $60 in parts. Replacing the flywheel assembly after the bearing destroys it costs five times that.

Console Board Failure from Power Fluctuations

Properties near the Sourland Mountain Preserve foothills see power flickers during storms. Technogym Ride and Life Fitness IC7 consoles are sensitive to voltage spikes — the main control board loses firmware or fails to boot entirely after a bad surge. Plugging the bike into a surge protector is step one. Replacing or reflashing the control board is step two. We carry boards for common models.
