After moving to new house my treadmill stopped working, I called Boost Gym Service and Igor came the next day to repair it. He did everything super fast and professionally, explained how I can do maintenance by myself and gave useful tips. The price was fair. Thank you so much, will definitely use the service again. Highly recommend in Palisades Park!

Arthur came and looked at my Treadmill found the issue, and said it needed maintenance, which I knew it did, I asked if he could do it, his office called me back with a total price. Arthur did the maintenance and showed me what he did, the Machine looked like new, he was very pleasant, and would certainly reach out to him again.

Arthur was fantastic. He arrived and let us know the problems we had with the treadmill and showed me each part that needed repair. In the end, we decided not to repair our treadmill, but it was a good experience working with this company.

The pre-war apartment buildings along Park Avenue and the two-families near Brick Church Station pack a surprising number of Echelon EX-5 and Schwinn IC4 bikes into second-floor bedrooms and finished basements. Flywheel drive belts glaze over in humid storage. Magnetic resistance units stop tracking the knob. We cover 07017 and 07018 — same-day slots open most weekdays, and we carry common belt and resistance hardware on the truck.

East Orange's housing mix runs from 1920s row homes in Doddtown (07019) to four-story brick mid-rises along Central Avenue and Prospect Street. Second-floor bedrooms and low-ceiling basement rec rooms are the two spots people store bikes — both come with access logistics. Older units in the Brick Church area were built before modern outlet loads were standard; bikes with powered resistance displays sometimes trip 15-amp breakers in those buildings.

Common Spin Bike Issues in East Orange

Drive Belt Glazing in Humid Basement Storage

Finished basements in East Orange's older row homes hold moisture from late spring through fall. Schwinn IC4 and ProForm Carbon CX bikes stored down there see their drive belts develop a hard glaze — the flywheel keeps spinning but resistance feedback gets inconsistent and the belt starts slipping off the rear tensioner pulley. Replacing the belt and resetting tensioner preload takes about 45 minutes on most models.

Magnetic Resistance Board Stops Responding

Echelon and NordicTrack bikes use a servo-driven magnetic resistance system paired with a rotary position encoder. In shared-use units — common in the multi-family buildings off William Street — the encoder contact wears down and the resistance knob becomes useless. The flywheel still turns freely but you're locked at one drag level. Swapping the resistance controller board or recalibrating the servo motor usually resolves it without replacing the whole resistance assembly.

Cracked Seat Post Collar and Bent SPD Pedal Clip Springs

The seat height adjustment collar on Sunny Health & Fitness and ProForm bikes uses a plastic clamp that cracks after a few hundred height changes — typical when multiple people share the bike. SPD pedal clip damage is a separate but frequent call: the metal retention spring inside the clip bends when riders yank the shoe out instead of rotating to release. Both are straightforward fixes if you have matching thread pitch and the right clip hardware in stock.
